"Victor, Amanda’s abandoned husband, is played by the strikingly handsome Carman Lacivita. He makes Victor the only really sane character on stage. Yes, he’s a bit conventional, but he’s so real. He’s genuinely suave, his voice is soft and rich, and can he ever wear the beautiful clothes with which costumer Kathleen Geldard blesses him! He is grace incarnate."
-KDHX.org
"Carman Lacivita is humorously self-important and stuffy as the always alert, always judging Victor."
-ISSUU
"Also exceptional is Carman Lacivita, whose portrayal of the jilted Victor underscores his class stature as more of an everyman than Elyot. Lacivita's performance is more nuanced ... giving his character a more sympathetic demeanor."
-Broadway World
"Carman Lacivita is humorously self-important and stuffy as the always alert, always judging Victor."
-Riverfront Times
"Excellent work from... Lacivita comically bewildered as the more strait-laced Victor. When all four are together, the comic energy is especially strong."
-Snoops Theater Thoughts
"At the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis we have such experienced players playing Private Lives and providing the most enveloping and elevated kind of play as we have much fun playing along with the players"
-HEC Media St Louis
"Lacivita was debonair and a bit starchy as Victor"
-Poplife Stl
"Lacivita delightfully conveys the gentlemanly ways of the resplendent Victor."

"As Knightley, Carman Lacivita adds a touching, steady grounding to Emma’s head-in-the-clouds enthusiasm...."
-Korean Quarterly
"Carman Lacivita, a Gentleman George, skillfully plays something of her straight husband Knightley with a shot of a stubborn kid."
-Twin cities-Paper writer
"She is well matched with Carman Lacivita, a charming New York-based actor making his Minnesota debut as Mr. Knightley. Lacivita has the boyish handsomeness that both appeals to Emma and marks him as a brotherly rather than a romantic figure in her life. He stands up briskly to her poor judgments, yet always projects an unfailing affection for her. "
-Talkin Broadway
"She's well matched in Carman Lacivita as her sparring partner/eventual suitor Knightley"

"Ably playing something of her straight man is Carman Lacivita, a gentlemanly George Knightley with a dash of petulant child."

"Carman Lacivita delivers a touching performance in the sympathetic role. Mr. Darcy is the most serious role in this production. Lacivita and Angela Janas' chemistry make you fall in love with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet once again."
-Broadway World
"playfully brilliant...The entire cast demonstrates a fevered, frenetic focus...to single one out would suggest all are not at an equal high-level of performance -- which they are..."

"Last but certainly not least, Carman Lacivita inhabits and exaggerates middle sister, Mary, to tremendous comedic effect. Described in Austen's novel as the plain sister, into music and moralizing, Mary in the hands of Lacivita becomes a veritable spook and the sincerest of malcontents. The effect is hilarious as she moans about constantly being left behind, forgotten, neglected and has a habit of startling others when she suddenly appears very nearby. Again, in stark contrast and in heightened exaggeration, Lacivita transforms into Bingley--a hyper-extrovert to Mary's introvert. There's no mistaking it; we've gone well beyond caricature when you realize the actor must have been asked to play his character as if he were a literal golden retriever. Nothing could be more apt for Austen's Mr. Bingley; the physical comedy pushes right into farce and invites the audience to enjoy the ride."
-Broadwayworld
"kudos must also go to a few actors who cross the gender line, particularly Lacivita, with his interpretation of ugly duckling Mary"
-Bennington Banner
"With devastating deadpan, Carman Lacivita plays the unlovely Mary as if she's a member of the Addams Family. Lacivita also has the show's silliest physical stunts as Mr. Bingley, who is portrayed as a puppy. Even at rest, this Mr. Bingley bounces on the balls of his feet, alert for a game of fetch."
-Seven Days Vermont
"Carman Lacivita plays the youngest, least attractive Bennet girl in a pensive, petulant, piquant manner, but is also Mr. Bingley, the handsome and aristocratic if awkward suitor of the eldest daughter, Jane. Late in the second act, he needs to be both characters in the same scene and this is handled with a physical humor that is just as funny as any single line in the show."
-Berkshire Edge
"Lacivita invents two very distinct and entertaining characters as the dour Mary and the puppy-dog perky Mr. Bingley"
-Berkshire On Stage
"a riotously funny production"
